Reflect, Review, and Reset: Engage in Your Own Year End Sponsorship Review

This week, I'm resourcing clients and workshop attendees in the area of year end sponsorship review. I love helping business development and other executive level professionals discover insights from taking an honest look at their sponsorship outreach activity from the year!

December is the perfect time to Reflect, Review, and Reset!

Here's how to conduct your own year end sponsorship review in just 3 steps!

1.) Analyze Yearly Performance: Review your KPIs, secured sponsorships, and lessons learned from the year. Identify patterns and areas for growth.

2.) Revisit Lost Opportunities: Check in with prospects who previously declined. Their needs may have shifted or budgets may be renewed. Is there a possibility to schedule a follow up for 2025 with a new perspective and new insight?

3.) Develop a Personal Business Development Plan for the New Year:

Most likely your organization has already created its 2025 calendar plan but that shouldn't stop you from creating your own plan for success! Set clear, actionable goals with timelines and targets for each quarter. Commit to at least one completely new activity per quarter in the area of prospect research or engagement.

December isn’t just the end of the year—it’s a powerful launchpad for the future. By blending relationship-building, strategic outreach, and thoughtful planning, business development executives can finish strong and start the new year ahead of the game.
